What makes you invest in chess?

There is one simple reason – banking and chess are games for the smart people. Therefore, for a second consecutive year with a particularly desire we are taking part in this investment – to support the M-Tel Masters. This is an investment in the prestige of this tournament, in the good name of the chess masters. I think that a tournament on such a scale is a great area for performance of our ideas and belief.

Do you believe that the tournament will raise the spiritual horizons of Bulgarians?

Undoubtedly. Just the fact that there is such a big media interest and sponsorship, shows that this event deserves its own attention. The tournament is international covered and it is a part of the big chess.

In Kalmyk Republic Kirsan Ilyumzhinov had issued a decree which prohibits businessmen to engage in business if they are not familiar with the laws of chess. According to you, is it true that chess helps business?

Without claiming that I know the depth of chess, of this art, I would say that it is an essential condition as far as divining things with a few moves ahead is a duty. Not only to make plans for your game but also to react to your opponents moves. All the challenges of an interesting collision are apparent. The chess is a collision of individualities, behind stands the integrated potential.

Which world is bigger – the 64–squared or the business world?

I dare to assert that the business world is more dynamic and bigger. Of course, everywhere there is scope for expression and innovation. Therefore we are standing on the traditions and support this game and this tournament because of their strong innovative spirit.
