(Sofia, 6 May, 2009) Wine cellar Zlatovrah will launch a special limited series of wines M-Tel Masters 2009. It is made especially for the most prestigious sports competition in Bulgaria for the year - the chess tournament in Sofia that will start on 12 May in the glass pavillion on the square in front of the National Theatre Ivan Vazov.

The wine that will be with the brand of the tournament on is of the sort Mavrude that aged in oak barrels, vintage 2007.

The special series will be tasted by each of the six top chess players. The wine cellar has prepared a special gift for each of them - a 1,5 l. bottle with the logo of the tournament and the names of Veselin Topalov, Magnus Carlsen, Yue Wang, Vassily Ivanchuk, Alexei Shirov and Leinier Dominguez.

Zlatovrah wine cellar was founded in 2006 in thew village of Zlatovrah - an area known as the heart of Mavrud. It is called like that because in Zlatovrah and the neighbouring village of Novi izvor are the only areas with classic Mavrud grapes. The main wine sort is Mavrud, but Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Rubin are also produced.

The capacity of the cellar is 100 tones of wine. The whole equipment is produced of stainless steel. The cellar executes classic wine production in small fermentation barrels which allows maximum usage of the potential of the grapes. During the process of fermentation a temperature of 25°С is maintained, which helps for the extracting of all the aroma ingredients of the grapes. The continuing processing of the grape liquid for over 2 weeks fills the wine with noble tannins and phenols. The seeds are removed with a special grid on the bottom of the fermentation barrel. The special limited series of wines age in 60 oak barrels of 225 l. each in special storage rooms underground with a constant temperature, independent of the season.
