(Sofia, 22 May, 2009) The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov will award the winner in the fifth edition of the super chess tournament M-Tel Masters. Mr. Parvanov will hand the special award to the winner – the unique bronze sculpture Pieta, made especially for the purpose by the sculptor Hristo Hristov. Traditionally the President is the patron of the Sofia super tournament.
The official closing ceremony of M-Tel Masters 2009 will start at 20:00 local time on 23 May on the square in front of the National Theatre Ivan Vazov in the Bulgarian capital.
